Dr. Ybarra is an internationally recognized researcher in the areas of adolescent health, including sexual health, LGBT+ health, and cyberbullying. She has led over 15 federally funded research grants and has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and 5 book chapters. She is the President and Research Director of the Center for Innovative Public Health Research (CiPHR).
